Position Summary

The department of Operations is responsible for GVE online interactive tutorial lesson operations, including English Tutor recruitment, training, lesson scheduling, teaching performance evaluation and quality control of overall tutorial lesson delivery.  As the Academic Operations Manager of GVE, you will be accountable for on-boarding, training and performance management of English Tutors for GVE Live Interactive Video Lessons. The Managers will work closely with Product Development Department and Data Technology Department. You will work as part of a team that will be responsible for assisting the efficient delivery of GVE online interactive tutorial lesson operations.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize ATS (Applicant Tracking System) to recruit for English Tutors in North America
• Provide ongoing training and support to all English Tutors
• Effectively develop, facilitate and evaluate training by defining expectations and measures before, during and after training
• Coordinate with LMS (Learning Management System) Administrators to schedule and reschedule tutor arrangement for the online tutorial lessons
• Perform informational performance assessments and evaluations to encourage continuous improvement and support to the Tutors
• Respond to Tutor inquiries regarding the programs, services and lesson delivery
• Maintain the Tutor database by ensuring records are updated and maintain accurate data entry and record keeping
• Collaborate on policy and procedure development for tutors as required
• Administering certain number of online tutorial lessons per week

Skills and Experience:

Required

• Must have 3+ years of ESL teaching experience
• Must have an academic background in Education
• High degree of judgment, tact and discretion
• Strong English language skills, both written and oral
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and familiarity working with database systems
• Ability to successfully troubleshoot problems and implement feasible solutions
• Passionate about language education
• Energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated

Desired

• Exposure to Project Management would be an asset
• Mandarin speaking would be an asset
