My Client is actively seeking a Software Engineer to work in their headquarters in Boston, MA. This role will report to our Chief Architect and will work as a member of the development team.

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a small creative Startup that is passionate about bringing innovation and clarity to the team using some of the latest web technologies.

The successful candidate is self-motivated and enjoys the challenge of addressing tough technical problems and who wants to work on products addressing an important issue.

Your primary responsibility will be to work on our web-based application.  The server-side implementation language is Python and a Python-based web framework.  The client-side implementation frameworks are jQuery and Bootstrap.

Qualifications:

 

BSCS or equivalent

5+ years in a software development role utilizing JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, and RESTful design

Detailed knowledge of web application architecture, tools, security, and technologies

Experience with developing secure web applications

Strong knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic algorithms, including hashing, encrypting, signing, and key exchanging.

Familiarity with application design patterns including MVC/MVVM/MVP

Familiarity with design patterns – UI and/or AJAX design patterns

Working knowledge of HTML, XML, JSON, and HTTP

Experience with Linux and Apache HTTP Server

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication, presentation and written skills

Ability to multi-task and deal with changing deadlines

Experience in an early-stage fast-paced environment

Experience working with a geographically dispersed team

Demonstrated knowledge of technology processes and ability to navigate complicated regulatory requirements
